needle carb kit 1941 cad 60 special

the new kit from kanter has the new needle with no hole in it. the original or im may be assuming original has the needle with a hole in it and the clip goes thru the needle. also the new needle has a rubber tip and the old was it steel. does anyone know what to do. the kit was dated 2008 and illegable in part even with a magnifying glass thanks john m

The needle needs to have a hole in the top when the spring clip goes thru and holds it in place... So the kit is defective.

Second a viton tip is standard today. If you use a metal tip the new gas, with ethanol, will rust the needle.

john washburn,   kanter says their carb man says to use the needle with no hole without the clip and this should work  and that they would send me the correct smaller power  piston with the leather  what are your thoughts? thanks john
