I posted this in the WTB forum but this is where I probably should have posted this request.

"Help ... need 2 short (1 inch) and two long (about 1 and 1/4 inch) 5/16 bolts that hold the grill in place.  Has a philips head.  If anybody can assist in finding other hard to find hardware for the 1941 model 6227, please advise.  Thanks much."

These are a very coarse pitch cheese head style screw, not sure of a standard hardware part to match.  Suggest you try Eddie Jones 612 558 2629.  He is now advertising in Hemmings that he sells bolts and other small parts, and he has helped me on several unique parts requests for my 41.

Paul,
Thanks so much for responding and the lead.  I was told they have a ACME thread.  Interesting about the coment about being Cheese Head Screws since the car came from SD :).  Thanks again Paul.

Glad to help.  I have always thought of Acme threads in lead screw applications, didn't occur to me that would be used here - thanks for the insight.  I'll look at one of mine to check, but I was thinking they were around 10 TPI.  Acme standard for 5/16" is 14 TPI.
