I am looking for the end piece that attaches on the two long rods that connect the firewall to the radiator.  I have the two rods but I need one end piece.  Can anyone help or suggest a parts car lead.  Thank you.

I have a '39 La Salle that was street rodded before I got it. I am considering putting some heim ends on stainless rods to go from firewall to core suport. If I do I will have those rods...I also have a bunch of other parts for that car that may be of use to you...let me know if you are interested

Any decent engineer could make that from a piece of hex bar in no time at all. have you no local engineers?

Dennis what are the sizes of the internal and external threads ? Are they RH or LH ?  What is the Hex dimension ? Perhaps I can whip it out for you ? ( I don't want it to drive Steve nuts ! ) bb

Thanks for the interest.  I can really get stalled by these little things.  The snag with making a new one is the left hand thread on the female end.  I thought I would try to find a used one first and if that failed take on the job of making one.  fortunately I have one for a model.  I didn't think it would be so hard to find an old one.
