Anyone have an extra T-3 lo-Hi for a 1970?

Getting my car ready for Boston and I noticed one of my lights is not a T-3.

Thanks,

Brian

Just curious...what year was the last year for T-3 headlamps?   1974 was last year for round ..but my 1973 Eldorado has always had General Electric lamps...   all matching     Tim Pawl #4383

I don't know but the car has 3 out of 4 T-3's.

Brian,
Did you find headlight yet?  I may have a T3 hi beam in my stash of parts.  Are you looking for inboard Hi beam or outbord Hi-Lo?   It should have either a number "1" or "2" on the Lense.   If I have it I can bring to Boston with me.

Tim,

I need the outboard Lo-Hi.

There are lots of subtle differences on these headlights based on the year.

If you have the right one, let me know?

Thanks,

Brian

My 1973 Eldorado (which I bought new) did not come with T3's.  The bulb (round) had a circle
in the middle which said "POWER BEAM".  These were the original bulbs and I've seen them in
junk yards and on other originals.  They are not being reproduced as far as I know.

I don't know what year they stopped using the T3 logo, but I think it was in the early 70's, perhaps
even the late 60's.

I'm sure some light bulb expert on this forum knows.

Brian, I only have the T3 HIgh Beam headlamps (quantityof 2)....sorry.

Mike, I believe you are correct "Power Beam" headlamps have the word "Guide" at the bottom which would indicate GM product.    We still do not know exact date or model year they went from "T3" to "Power Beam"

I took a shot and bought one from an ebay seller.  While searching the web I found a company that sells repro sets, brighter bulbs with proper T-3 markings for all years, but they had to put a tiny "DOT" marking on them and since I am entering the car in the preservation class, I opted for an NOS bulb.

Here's the info: http://www.lectriclimited.com/mainpage.htm

According to their website 1971 would be the last year for T-3 in GM cars.  They also have datecoded AC Delco repro spark plug wires.

Anyone?  Bring to Boston?  I bought one and it was a 7" not a 5" 3/4.

What's the old saying, measure twice, bid once?

Not the end of the world, but I'd like to have a matching set.  It's got the ribs on the T-3 logo.

Thanks,

Brian

I've got a box full of the 5 3/4" T-3's I will be bringing to Boston. I have 3 of the 3 prong Hi/Lo beams and probably 10 of the 2 prong Hi beams.
I will be leaving some parts including the T-3's at Bob Winchell's vendor booth.  You can also call  or text me at 919-880-6007 when we get there.  I'll be at the Host Hotel from Sat Aug 27 to Mon, Aug 5.
