Recently I bought the 2 power steering hoses needed to replace the present hoses in my car due to leakage. The new return hose (this is the one with no pressure mount at one end) has the pressure pipe end bent at a 90 degree angle. The hose I'm replacing has a straight end. Is the new hose correct? Can anyone take a photo to show me the correct way these hoses are mounted to the power steering gearbox?

Thanks in advance for the due diligence.

No, that does not sound correct.

I'll check when I get home, but I am fairly certain that at most, one has only a slight deflection, while the other is straight.

Both of mine go straight into the steering box.

I can understand why there might be a slight offset, but I can't imagine how or why there would be a 90 degree bend.

The pressure hose has a 90 degree bend right off the pump housing, but that is the only bend of the 4 ends.
