I'm looking to make my old 1939 Cadillac 6127 Coupé better than it is now. I found a fellow who can make the plastic bits but he needs some things I don't have to work with. Here is a list of items I would like to find:

Hand Throttle - complete or "slider" and other moving parts
Ash Tray
Cigar Lighter - complete or "slider" and other moving parts
Radio Tuning Wheels - bad plastic OK, they will be recast
Temp Gauge
Curved Glass over radio display
Heater - Defroster (Non-ventalating) along with all mounting parts & switchery.

That's all for now, more as I think of it!

Did find someone that can make the curved glass ? If so I'll be interested in the radio and clock ones.

The Authenticity Guide listed someone who had done some of these once upon a time. I need the center section and will let you know if that now elderly listing turns out to be a good steer. That glass looks like it would be hard to make.

Anybody have any ideas on places to try to find this gear? I found a guy who can make the parts needed but he needs some of the old parts to work with.

Thanks Michel, I'll have a look. That was not a place that I have heard of before.

Yes, I saw that. It is very dear as well.

I got a new glovebox from an eBay merchant in the mail today. That and a working clock found a few weeks ago will clean up that side of the dash. The other items on the needed list are really getting to be a holdup.

I found that the ashtray in the dash IS the correct one. It was installed backwards! I still need the other items, especially the cigar lighter & slide and the slide for the throttle cable. Any steers? If I can find these bits I can get the plastic bits made.

I was trying to find the General discussion post on 1939 curved glass but I think it's been removed?

Anyway, I wanted to mention that I made the speedo, radio and clock glass out of curved plastic. You can't tell the difference when it's in place.  I did this for a 1939 Cadillac and the cost was around $150 (a die had to be made).  If anyone is interested, I could get more sets made but would need the dimensions if it's for LaSalle (or are they the same length?).

Regards, Ross.

Interested for radio and clock. 39 LaSalle and Cadillac are similar.
