1938 LaSalle Hood Ornament

I am looking to restore a 1938 LaSalle hood ornament. Can anyone suggest the proper procedure?  How do you remove the fins so as to chrome the ornament?

I suggest that you acquire a new 1938 LaSalle hood ornament in lieu of the time and cost to rechrome.  Try Don Sommer 248-435-6115 9am-5pm EST.
