57 Eldo Seville

The horns on my 1957 Seville are mounted behind each of the headlights and the radiator core support brackets where the horns typically attach are missing.  Is there any way that the car could have come from the factory like this or do I need the brackets to make the car correct?

Also, did all 1957 Eldorados have a third trumpet horn under the left headlamp?  I don’t have one and the wiring harness at that point doesn’t look modified.

Thanks,

Dave Morris

The standard horns were on every '57 so, yes, you should have them.  As for the trumpet:  I can't say positively that EVERY Eldo had one.

The trumpet horn DID come as standard on the Eldos. The wire is just bridged across from the closest standard horn if I remember correctly. I'm away from my 57 Eldo till the weekend. The trumpet horn was only one horn and on the driver side.

Both our Biarritz and Seville have the trumpet horns, wiring is bridged like Quentin said.
