Guys:

I have a quick question regarding the stainless weather flaps that close when you close the door.  My right side one works great.  The left side one...not so much.  When I close the door the front section seals but the back section doesn't seal properly and sits at an angle.  Is there some way I can adjust this?  Maybe use some WD-40 on the spring? Perhaps the spring mechanism is shot?  Please advise

Typical problem.  Took me a solid week of adjusting the front mechanical strip and the one on the rear quarter window.  You might also have to shim the vent window to make it seal right.

Well after picking up my car this evening I decided to investigate the issue further.  I thought that the seal that was recently installed was causing my vent window to bulge outwards a bit.  Like a dumbass (and maybe it helped a little) I used an razor to trim the seal.  It seemed to help a little but the top edge of my vent trim doesn't line up flush with the windshield trim.  Is this a door alignment issue or am I overlooking something?  Also since I seemed to have trimmed a bit too much on the seal does anyone recommend a replacement?  Steele products has a set for 50 but I want to know if its correct.

You have to remove the door upholstery and adjust the vent window frame.  It is tedious as hell.  You have to get the vent window to push the mechanism down and flush and meet the rear window trim when the door is closed.  There are slotted screw holes in the metal strip that go into the roof of the car.  Loosen them to get some movement of the strip.
