Hi - Could someone confirm for me what the original key set up was for a 1960? Were the doors, trunk and glove box all on the same (round) key and the ignition on the squared key?

I dunno about 1960 but I know with my 57 they are seperate keys.  I believe they used the same keys from the mid 50s-early 60s.  Original blanks can be found on ebay for about 9 bucks.

Hex head key operates the ignition and door; round head for glovebox and trunk.

Thanks. I'm trying to get into the trunk on a parts car that I have no keys for. If I have a key made for the glovebox will that work to open the trunk?

Not quite as simple as that unfortunately. Assuming neither of the locks have been changed, there is still one other problem: The glovebox lock uses only 4 wafers while the trunk uses 6. I don't recall how many different wafers there were - possibly 3 so in theory the locksmith would have make 6 keys.

If by chance someone has a some (round head) keys laying around from the same period (1949 - 1966), it might be worth seeing in one fits.
