1971 Eldorado rear deck lourves

Hi.can you tell me how to  get rid of  tree leaves and other matter from my 1971 Cad Eldorado rear louvers,anyway how does the flow through ventilation system work?

As I recall, there are rubber seals on the inside of the trunk lid under each set of louvers.  Just clean out any debris you see and wipe down the seals.  Regarding how the system works, I recall it being explained in the Chassis Service Manual.
