Hi All,

My dad has a 2011 CTS Coupe and the drivers side door opening is intermittent. 

Does anyone know how the latching/locking mechanism is attached to the solenoid?

He says that when he presses the button from the inside the door will not open...he even tries the emergency mechanical release and that also does not open the door.  He then presses the inside button a number of times and finally the door opens.

If anyone has experienced this same issue can you please provide some advice/experience?
