Nice article extolling the virtues of '49s.  I have one too.

One very minor point about the old time radio programs the author mentions.  I grew up in the '40s and as a kid was an avid radio listener.  Having said that, I've never heard of Johnny Dollar; I have heard of Gunsmoke, but as far as I know this was a TV program, I think in the '50s and or '60s.  My favorite '40s radio programs were the Lone Ranger and Superman.
