May be a strange question, but i have never thought about using parking light - how do i turn the parking light on??
And how should it light? Is it the two upper lenses on each side of the sealed beams?

I have had the car for 8 years, and i am feeling a bit stupid now :(

G'day Niels,

The park lights are the outer vertical plastic lenses, that turn on at the first pull out of the headlight switch.

If you have the Fibre Optics fittings on the top of your front fenders, then the outer indicators will glow.

Plus, the side lights at the front will illuminate.

When you have the lights on, and you indicate to turn either left or right, the extra lights in the side lights will illuminate to give you a clearer look at the sides in the dark.

PS.   You shouldn't have any additional lights apart from the two sealed beam lights each side, and the aforementioned park lights.

Ok, i did'nt know, that there were two ways of setting the headlight switch. Is it half-way out? Nothing happens, no light. I have to take the lens apart and check :)

First pull-out click (Detent) is the Park Lights, and the full pull is the main lights.

If your lights aren't working on the first click, then it could be that all the park lights are blown, or you have a faulty switch.

But, you say that there are additional lights as well as the sealed beams?   Has someone messed with the car and added extra lights?

When you pull the light switch knob out the first part, do the dash lights operate?

Thanks Bruce :)

I took the headlights apart, and it was a complete mess. The wiring looked like a birds nest ....
The parking lamps was connected, but as turn signal - and the turn lamps was not connected at all.

But now everything is working correct. It took me a couple af hours.

My car has the optic fiber fittings, and they are working correctly now :)

Thanks!

That's okay.   What threw me was the mention of the "Is it the two upper lenses on each side of the sealed beams"

I was trying to think what these lights would be.
