I decided I have time to restore one window motor per day after work. I have 4 done so far. I decided to test all the rest to make sure they will all work.

Every 1/4 window motor will need a new gear. At one time someone told me that the driver front gear will work on the passenger rear and vise versa. Looking at the gears two are marked with two bumps and two are marked with 3. So I think they are the same flipped from front to back.

All but one motor works. One of the 1/4 motors has internal corrosion. I will need to see if I can repair or replace this one. The good thing is the motor base is common. So I can make any one I find work.

One gear was more stripped then the others. Completely eaten away.

The original vent window gears ar unbelievably soft. I guess they did that for quietness. The brass? replacements are much more robust, and I don't notice that they're any more noisy.

In a week and a half I want to get my doors and fenders back into fresh epoxy primer.

I got a quote to sandblast them ay $700.

I decided for $150 I would rather buy one of these. 20250606_152904.jpg

I think after a day or two of cleaning I can paint them.

I have been busy recently, and it has been hot. But I took some time to hang my fuel tank. I still need to make the rubber line connections. But it looks nice.
