I need a LH quarter window frame for a 1958 Series 62 Convertible.
PM if you have one - or any good leads on where to find one.
Thanks
Joe

Joe,

The convertible quarter window glass is the same both RH and LH. The rear quarter window frame is two piece. The part along the top of the glass is the same right or left side. The lower piece is “L’ shape - horizontal and vertical segments â€" and are different RH vs LH. All these parts are the same for both ’57 and 58 Cadillac convertibles.
I believe these parts are interchangeable with 57 and 58 Buick Super and Roadmaster convertible models. They may also interchange with ’57 and 58 Oldsmobile 98 convertibles.

Those frames are prone to breaking. They may have been reproduced?? If not, I'd suggest you contact a top notch plater that specializes in pot metal repair. Olds parts will not fit as they are a not a C body but a B plus body at that time.

Anybody know if these window frames are the same from a Series 62 Coupe?

Thanks, Ralph!
Yes, that does help.
Of course, it's the lower die-cast part that is broken. Good to know it's common R/L.

Bob,
Yes, I'm looking to replace a broken lower frame.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I went looked for a reproduction part and found a used one at CaddyDaddy...asking over $2000 for one side!
Looks like a repair in in my future.
Thanks

Muggy-weld makes a silver based filler rod for pot metal.
https://www.muggyweld.com/products/

I've used it and only needs a propane torch.   Of course, it's not cheap but does a great job fixing thing like this.   Easy to "tin" and file smooth, etc.   I "welded" the broken tabs off my ashtray with it when I couldn't find a replacement.   Can repair pitted chrome so you won't get charged so much by the platers.

Thanks for the first-hand recommendation. I've read a little about Muggy-Weld, but haven't tried it myself.
Thanks!
