looking for a gas tank for a 1938 Cadillac 60 special.

I have a 40-60S tank but the parts book shows the 38-60S is a different number and the 38 cost more than the 39 and 40 tank.  If you can find out the difference the 40 may work.  Anymore discussion you can email me directly brad@ipsengarage.com.
