Hello Everyone:

My mother purchased this 1965 Eldo new and I ended up with it!  It's an original survivor with 52k miles.  Drives/rides as it should.  Needs: electric convertible roof motor (roof is in outstanding shape); dashboard clock; radio has static but works including elect antenna.  Slight rust on lower front passenger side bumper ... see photo.  New tires.

Lost my job due to COVID and need to sell this one-family gem.  I have no idea what it's worth.  If interested, please email: redfangracing@aol.com

Location: Raleigh, NC

Thanks & stay safe.

It looks like a wonderful car, you did great by posting pictures and your location, but what is your asking price for the car?

Thanks ... this is my first time posting.  I have no idea what it's worth.  I never thought I'd have to sell it but now I must.  Need to move it quickly to a caring home.  Car sits in my heated/AC garage on a battery tender, and has been well-cared for.

You have a very nice car.  I hope you have bene able to enjoy it for a bit.
It's hard to guess at the value as there needs to be more information about the car.  Here is a link to Hagarty, which a lot of people use to give a value to their cars:

https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools/1965-cadillac-fleetwood-sixty_special

Your car has some rust, and the convertible motor not working.  There is always a number of things that needs to be sorted out with these old cars as well.  Also if there is one spot of rust, a person needs to be concerned if there is other rust areas, especially in the undercarriage.  On the plus side, there is air conditioning and low original miles (it wold be valuable to have some documentation, such as receipts for work done in the past, supporting this.)

It looks from initial glance, I would rate this car a #3 to #4 on the Hagarty scale.

I hope you sell the car at a good price.  It would be even better if you somehow manage to be able to keep it.

Extra consideration should be given if paint is all original; even more if the top & engine compartment are also. In fact, it wouldn't be too far to say this would put in an entirely different league altogether. One-family owned another plus.

Not a garden variety #3 of a car with restoration work that had since deteriorated, therefore worth substantially more. Good luck finding another.

With no research, I'll guess $25k to $30k?  So there is no mistake, I'm no expert.

This link for 1965 Fleetwood Sixty Special. Not Fleetwood Eldorado (convertible).

That's a "slightly" different matter. ;)

My apologies to everyone.  This was a huge error.  Hagerty actually does not have a write up on value for the 1965 Eldorado convertible.

Here is NADAGUIDES valuation:

https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/1965/Cadillac/Eldorado/2-Door-Convertible/Values

Here is a link to a 1965 Eldorado convertible with reported 26,000 miles, black exterior and white interior for $58,000:

Here is another one with black exterior and red interior with bucket seats with dealership asking price for $41,900

https://www.sascars.com/default.asp?page=xInventoryDetail&id=7890959&p=1&s=Price&d=D&fr=xCustomInventory

I hope that was helpful.  Sorry for the initial error.
