Circa..1985 tilt column in my 47 series 61

My new aquisition 1947  ser 61, had a circa 1985 tilt column installed. I gathered the approx. year by horn button.  Wont cancel turn signal left turns.  Anyone familiar with these; just a spring, or plastic canceller cam, or new switch? Comments welcome on year range for interchange of parts. Obviously havent taken apart to try to id part #. Trying to avoid down time in new ride in short NE driving season!  Also Horn just stopped working?? related? I just had a bout of bad back and cant get under dash yet to check fuses etc !!

Tom, the most common cause of fail to cancel on this era switch is the spring mounted on the turn signal switch. See attached. I've also seen broken switches, there made of some kind of plastic.
The horn could be many things: lack of ground, bad relay, broken wire somewhere, etc. It's going to take some digging to find it. Has the horn ever worked?

Signals work properly except no cancel left turn. Horn worked and then just stopped. Bad back this week prevents me from getting under dash. THEN .. left signal indicator light doesnt illum., but front and rear lights work properly. checked bulbs.. both filaments good. Could this be a poor connection at column harness  (+ bad turn switch/ cancel cam/ spring) ? Ive changed switches on 60s era GM. Is it about the same for this column? Tilt,no multi function switch, and ign cyl removed and filled w epoxy.  4 ways function . Hopefully in a week my back will allow me to get under the dash!!

Its it a tilt and tele column or just a 70's 80's GM style tilt?
