Picked up a beautiful Cadillac DTS today to add to collection.  Wasn't planning on getting another, but car was from Florida and has zero rust.  Mint interior, rust free undercarriage.  Never driven in winter...brought up last year and stored.  Pulled Carfax to confirm, and grabbed locally today within 24 hours of listing.  Wife Kim and I spent 3-4 hours detailing and it looks great.  Will get some pics tomorrow.  Has the nice Performance package (292HP engine NHP, VIN code "9") with front/back heated and cooled seats, lumbar, front seat massagers, etc.. fully loaded black on black.  Guy even let me use his plates to drive home :)  Couple pics at guys house, then one at home with our '97 DeVille D'Elegance

I have had a few of the last DTS And they are just wonderful.
Had two with leaks about the oil filter tho 🤦🏻‍♂️.
Put a transmission in a platinum...$3,500 😓

5 years ago I sold a 2010 DTS Premium with 680 miles. In terms of condition it was the newest car I ever owned. Would sell for substantially more today than I got for it then.

Thanks all!  Yes, my 20 yr old twins don't like the body style of my '97 much, but they like the '07 and said they would drive it, so we'll see :)  My one daughter always said she liked this generation better ('07).  They both drive a Lexus ES350 ('07, '09), so I have been buying them and was looking for a 3rd, but couldn't pass on this one :)

My son works at a Caddy dealer as a service tech so he'll take in this week for some minor issues: missing a couple dime sized black plastic body connectors, two molding clips, and needs a second key.  Waxed and detailed today...looking nicer :)

Nice on the Platinum!

I suspect at some point in time, these will represent the end of an era---viz: lovely, large four door sedans in the tradition of "Where Cadillac is king of the open road." The production and purchase of large, comfortable sedans are quickly fading from the market place.

All true statements about the DTS. I've had four and three Fleetwood Broughams - a '93, '95 and a '96. They were the finest modern Cadillacs of their eras. Yesterday I had my doubts when on 5th avenue on my way to our daughter's birthday party, a heater hose failed forcing my 60,000 mile '10 Platinum to come to rest at 58th and 6th Avenue. It took a little over two hours for AAA to show up to flatbed it to my other daughter's in Stamford, Connecticut. The driver very nicely dropped us off at my NYC daughter's on the upper West Side.

Inevitably, one thinks of what could have happened instead of what did happen. I was supposed to be on a plane headed for California that day, but my Bay Area daughter came down with Covid. My wife would have driven to Stamford, ridden to the City with my youngest daughter and later drove home. Somewhere near New Haven all Hell would have broken loose - and I would have been 3,200 miles away.

Our Guardian Angels put in a full day.

I have 2 DTS's right now.
I have my red 07 that I bought about 7 years ago as a 40,000 one owner.
Now has 70,000 miles and had a full 50,000 mile service so it runs great.
Might be selling this one.  I think it's a base model with a black roadster top

Also picked up an 08 with 66,000 miles.
It's a gorgeous Pearl white Premium or Platinum with every option.
The guy put in a JVC radio (original radio in the trunk). The JVC is better in every way and even has a readout for engine functions and codes.

It was purchased to replace the red one but I'm having a hard time deciding to part with it.
Part of my car addiction I guess.

These are really great cars with powerful engines and a nice road feel.
Enjoy your new find.
It sounds great !
