Ok. So it looks like the one in the photo just wrong fitting sizes.  Could be worse I guess.  We will have to stay tuned to see how difficult it was for him to get things aligned with that adapter fitting.

I wonder if anyone makes a bushing like thing you could use for the supply line that would slide over the 5/16 hard line on the frame that would let you then use a 3/8 line to the 71+ pump?   I know you can buy a brass 3/8 to 5/16 barb fitting but that's extra clamps and possible leaks, would be cleaner if there was just a bushing like thing.
