Hello,
I just bought a 1951 series 2. It has a Rochester BB carb and was wondering if it's worth putting a Carter WCD on instead.

Thank you,
David

Unless there's something wrong with it, I don't see you making much improvement with these early carburetors.  I rebuilt the WCD on the '49 P and it worked just fine.  Very simple carbs.  Not much can go wrong, either way.

Thank you, I have a WCD in a box in the garage and heard those were easier to rebuild with a kit than the Rochester that's on it. Most of the 1951 Caddy's I look at have the WCD so I was wondering if maybe they were better as far as engineering. I'm not really concerned about economy.

Thanks again,
David
