Hi all,

My 1948 Cadillac model 62 has a "Brown Leather Grain Transfer" on the dash and door panels.
On the Dashboard it is all gone and on de rear doorpanel I see the original Leather structure.

Has anyone experience how to renew this? With paint/ transfer/ leather finer?? Are there companies who can renew this? (Europe/USA)

Thanks, Jaap

Thanks for your link Jay, interesting option.

Does anyone have any real experience with dashboard refreshes?
Would you like to share this too?

Thanks in advance

When I bought my '49 (40 years ago) the same thing had happened to its dashboard. I decided that re-creating the original woodgrain leather finish would be too much trouble.  Instead, at the same time the car was painted, I had the dashboard and the door mouldings painted dark brown.  It's not authentic, but it was easily done and looks good.
