I recently purchased a 1930 model 353 5 passenger sedan and am trying to gather facts for a car show display board.  I have had several old cars over the years and it seems that this Cadillac is the hardest to find facts on.  My car is engine # 507255.  I believe there were 11,005 sedans built (Fisher Body cars) with the 353 C.I. V-8 which produced 95 hp.  Not certain about the curb weight which I believe might be 5200 lbs. Also not certain about purchase price but have seen the number $3595 or about the price of seven Fords or Chevys that year. Any pertinent/interesting facts would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance, Jim Serra

Based on your firewall data plate looks like your car is Style 30-159. Here is info from 80 Years of Cadillac LaSalle by Walter M.P. McCall. Beautiful car.    HarryIMG_1162.JPG

According to "The complete history" by Maurice D.Hendry, you are almost good! However, the 11005 units produced with the 353 engine were: two-passenger coupe, five-passenger coupe, five and seven-passenger sedans, etc, etc.
Prices went from $ 3'295 to $ 4700. Weights varied from 4'845 pounds to about 5'300 pounds.
The book "80 years of Cadillac La Salle" from Walter Mc Call is a great source for quick references; unfortunately, it's out of print. Who knows, maybe available at eBay.

Jim,

If my upload is successful, you should see the information kit for 1930 Cadillac V-8 cars from GM Heritage Center.  I hope that helps.

Best regards,
