Can anyone tell me if these are the correct door sills for a 1941 Series 63. These came with my car but I don't know if they are original.

I've seen other model'41 door sills that are actually muck wider.

I'm working with Don Kuehn to get a price on a remanufactured set and I want to make sure these are correct.

Attached are the photos. The shorter one is the rear.

Hi John, Those look just like the ones in my 1946 series 61 coup. I don't know if they were used in a 63 but I kind of doubt it as they(the ones for my car)are quit expensive and very hard to come by. Plus the vender only listed them as fitting 46 and 47 series 61's.  TIM

Thanks Tim,

What I have fits my doors fine, but they obviously need replaced. I'm just wondering what the originals for a 1941 Series 63 look like and if there are any photos that can be shared.

I would be forced go with whatever fits if I can't find the originals.

John, The sill plates in your picture looks like the right ones. The raised portion with CADILLAC is all that really shows. You have carpet that meets on the inside and rubber step on the outside. Here's a picture of my '67 Series and I'm petty sure the 63 Series is the same although the lengths would be different. There is a company in NJ (I think) that reproduces them in aluminum. I can't find their info for the moment but maybe someone will have it available.     Harry

Thank Harry,

I was messaging earlier today on Facebook with an individual from across the pond that has a Series 63. He sent me a similar photo. The company I'm speaking with is Door Sills LLC in NJ. The person's name is Don Kuehn. I sent him photos of what I have.

Interesting how Harry's don't have the pretty filigree stamped into his like yours and mine do. Let us Know what the quote you for a price. The folks I talked with wanted over $600 for the pair. Mine are not as bad as yours are John so I'm in the clean em up and run em crowd.

Did you get a quote from the same company? I'll post the price quote here once I receive. I need 2 pairs for the front and back doors.

I got mine from the same company just before covid for in the neighborhood of $600 and about a month waiting time. I wish they had more and better detail as my originals were really bad. I think the originals were machined and then chrome plated.
