Is this possibly an original spare tire? I found it in the trunk of a 1973 Eldo

Please look at the photo's. This was found hiding in the corner of a 1973 Cadillac Eldorado trunk. It's an old bias ply tire. Anyone know what tires could be ordered on the 73's?

While it's a vintage tire, the factory tire should be L78 -15

Radials were still an extra cost option in 1973.  In any event, the white wall is not correct.  The original tires had a single narrow stripe (3/8 inch).  So, the tire size should be L78R-15 for radial or L-78 15 for
the standard tire.

Right that tire is completely unsafe.  I run tires I
am wearing out thru the spare position, so it is a
recent match.  Bruce Roe
