I may be mistaken (I thought I was wrong once but then I found out I was Mistaken), but I believe the Aluminum manifold was for the 368 motors, not the 425. The 425 ws a single plane but cast iron, or at least that is what my 79 came with.

I have heard tale that the 425 limo and maybe commercial blocks came w single plane and aluminum but I don't have pn.
