Hello all, I am trying to find the underhood  carb/ vacuum line routing diagram. I can not find it in the 1971 Cadillac Shop Manual. Is there a supplement or am I just oblivious to finding the correct section in the manual? Thank you.

I don't know about 71 for sure but other years in that era the electrical and vacuum diagrams were on a fold out page so it wasn't uncommon for them to have got torn out and then misplaced.

Tony,
In the FSM, the vacuum diagrams for each system (carburetor, Emissions, AC. load level system> etc.) are shown in those sections, so you should go through one system's lines at a time and with any luck when you have covered all the systems you should have covered all the vacuum lines.

As Greg indicated, go through each system of the manual.  The photos are not always the best being in black and white.  Remove each hose from the nipple fitting and give it a squeeze test at both ends to determine if it is still sufficiently pliable to re-use.  Also inspect each hose for hairline cracks and clean it.  Better yet, replace all of the hoses that are not special pre-formed ones.  If you're not sure about some hoses being connected to the correct nipples, shoot some photos and someone here can help.  After 52 years, a lot of goofy things could have happened under the hood.
