1948 Cadillac Series 62 Dashboard Instrument Cluster

1948 Cadillac Series 62 rare, dashboard center instrument cluster.     This is a one year only part.    I have no knowledge of the condition of the instrumentation and thus I am not representing this as a functional instrument panel.    It appears to be in generally good condition and I sure it can be made functional again, with some work.   Someone had previously coated the engine turned surface and face with some type of green tint or coating, not sure why, maybe liked the look??.

Is it a tint or perhaps a protective film added after it was restored?  OEM?

Good question.   I never looked at it that closely.   I'll check as time allows.
