PRICE LOWERED -- We discovered that the rockers have been repaired, but not well enough for the type of car this is.  So the rocker panel repairs will have to be redone.  As a result, I am lowering the price to $25K.

I am repurchasing the "Cadster" (a 49 fastback I sold many years ago) at considerable expense.  So I need to let go of a car.  Here is the offering -- the "Maharajah" a 1958 Eldorado Seville.  Much restoration is done, but still needs paint and whatnot.

Originally Rajah Silver with SO silver leather. Now in primer after all rust cut out and replaced with new sheet metal. All chrome and stainless done. New black and white upholstery. Much mechanical work done including engine and transmission. Needs paint and reassembly. A couple of the pictures are taken outside. But car is stored in my climate-controlled workshop.

If you are interested, I would encourage you to move quickly. $29,000. $25,000.

If I didn't already have 17 other projects in the works I would really like to buy your car. It's a beautiful car even just in primer.

Art,

That is a great price.

On the real off chance, did you keep all the dis-assembly hardware.
I for one know how tough it is to put Humpty Dumpty back together, even when it seems you have all the big parts.
It's all the small hardware - like screws, bolts, washers, and nuts etc. - that drive a crazy like me to get as close to OEM as I could.

Good luck to you - that 40 must have been very dear to you, to let this special car go, with so much of the expensive work already done.

Have fun,
Steve B.

The view from Mount Olympus is spectacular.

I think I will post my other project car for sale too and whichever one sells, sells.  Look for that soon -- 55 Coupe with $150K already poured into it...

Art,

That undistorted reflection on the driver's side paint says it all for me - quality, likely all around.

Have fun,
Steve B.

Yes.  Look at the pictures on the post for the coupe.  It is impressive paint work.  My Dad was a car painter and taught me the trade (although I was really a top-notch mechanic).  The paint work is of unsurpassed quality -- one can not do better.

Here is a picture of the interior after it was redone and before removing the interior to work on the body.  As you can see, it is BEAUTIFUL.

I have also updated the pictures in the listing itself.  Take a look...

Price lowered to $25K due to further work needed on rocker panels.

Here is a small sampling of the chrome -- this is just a tiny fraction of the chrome.  It is spectacular.
