I need to replace my foot switch and the ones online (without the extra wire) are very cheap, but the direct replacements of the extra wire switch are much more expensive and used, etc...

I do not need the guidomatic system to work, will the (cheaper GM standard $10) brake switch work without the extra wire connected?
