This repaint seems to have too much or too large of metallic in it, but since I have actually never seen this color in person other than this car, I am wanting some opinions, under the trunk lid looks much more subtle, Of course it is hard to tell in pictures but ....

All the paint suppliers i have checked for my York Blue Metallic have had larger flake then original. I cannot estimate to the scale that it is larger.

Cadillac Jack 82

Its a little heavier on the flake but not so much where someone would be like OMG.  Its pretty and if it wears well I'd just wax her up and enjoy!

This was the color sample in the original dealer sample book.

This is one of the samples I got. Unfortunately not close up picture and in different lighting.

If it's that noticeable in a picture, I'd hate to imagine what it looks like in person.  :o

Marty.

Got some pics up close from the trunk or jams close-up.

What you have shown seem a BIT More flakey.

But is it really worth a complete repaint.
IMHO - not for my money.
After all, is the rest of the car all that OEM ????

It is a striking and handsome color.

Have fun,

Eric, it is the only thing holding me back, the interior is the Mauve Delphine Flair and is very nice for being original. Two small bubbles under the vinyl roof, I won't live long enough for that to become a problem.
