As I am almost done with the 57 motorhome project, I could not pass up the 49 club coupe I found.  Now the fun starts.  Looking for info on restoring the dash, proper window felts and channels, and any info on interior materials for seats, door panels, and carpet.  I am also looking for wheels as the ones it cam with are mismatched.  The car is complete but in need of a lot.  Going to try to get the engine to turn over as it has not been opened up and if I am lucky it will run.  I have interior panels but they need to be completely redone.  On the bright side, all of the trim is there!  Thank you in advance!  At this time, I am keeping the patina--the car is solid enough so only a little rust repair is needed and the aged look is just too perfect to redo.  Car was in the high desert area of Colorado also need hood springs!

Congratulations on acquiring your "new" '49 Club Coupe.  I have one, too.  I suggest you get a copy of the 48-49 Authenticity Manual for information on the dash, interior, etc.

www.http://www.1949cadillac.com/ is another good source of information.

Beautiful car with great patina.

Did you use a coating to protect the patina?  Lots of choices these days to do that.
Enjoy life - it has an expiration date.

I ordered the authenticity manual and a build sheet.

right now, looking at doing a flat or matte clear over the patina--have to take off the trim and windows before doing that--also seeing if it will run tomorrow or I will be looking at wither a 331 or do a chevy swap if I have to

Congratulations on your '49.  If you need parts, Marc Tuwiner has a parts car in his Nevada yard.  View at https://annapolisclassiccars.com/1949-cadillac-fastback-parts/.  You can reach him at 301-672-1000.  He's on the East Coast the next couple of weeks for the Mecum Auction in Kissimmee but will be traveling out west again after that.
