Hi all, I'm wondering what the original tire size is for the 1937 Series 60 (6019).  I did not see anything in the authenticity manual about tire size.  From what I've been able to find, the tire size was probably 700-16, and the old tires that came with it are this size.  Some websites like Coker state that the larger series cars (series 65, 70, 80) used a 750-16, but that makes me wonder if they were equipped with different speedometer adapters to make the readings correct with the different size tires.  Could the series 60 cars have been originally equipped with either size?

The tire sizes are easy. From 1937 Data book.

    Series 50,60 7.00-16  4 ply US Firestone
    Series 65,70 7.50-16  4 ply US Firestone
    Series 75,85 7.50-16  6 ply US Firestone
    Series 90    7.50-17  6 ply US Firestone

The speedometer gears are group 20.2600.There is no mention of tire sizes , only (rear axle)gear ratios when determining which one to use. I am not sure how tire sizes ran in 1937. The 7.00 and 7.50 ,may only mean how wide the tread was ,not side wall height. In which case ,overall diameter would remain the same.
