Please note that the Forums will be down for site maintenance on March5th, 09:00 EST to install a Dark Mode option, as requested by a number of members. Due to the volume of data that must be backed up, the site will be down for an estimated 4-8 hours, longer if there are any problems.

If you have not already done so, be sure to cast your vote for the choice of Dark Mode format. Please note this will be an OPTIONAL participant choice. Once installed, instructions on how to activate this in your profile will be posted.

As of posting time, the leader in the poll is (a not totally dark mode), Blue Mood. Only 13 forum participants have voted.

Also, I don't see any theme choices, unless I need to log out and then back in.

Apologies, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to start the Dar5k Mode update yesterday. I am hoping to make another try tomorrow morning.

What is the purpose of this "dark mode"?

Its a feature that changes the colors around especially backgrounds to a darker color.  The idea is its easier to view in darker ambient conditions.  Oddly my observations is the younger people seem to like that.  You would think the younger people would not care because their eyes have a much wider comfort and functional range and when you get older.  I only use it or try it on sites that have picked funky colors to start with that don't have the best contrast.
