Hello,

The glove box lock mechanism on my 1975 Cadillac Eldorado is loose and often turns aside when shutting it (see photos).  I don't see any screws on the reverse side to tighten so is there a trick to tightening the lock? Thank you.

I've done it before and it's better now, although not perfect.

Thank you- very helpful!

For some reason, the photos didn't upload from my original post, so here they are again.  I will try tightening my hex ring after removing the lock cylinder and hopefully that does the trick.  The part that moves on me is the black lock mechanism pictured here on the backside of the glove box door.  I'm hoping tightening the hex ring is what will solve the issue.
