Due to a mishappen, I'll have to let repaint the hood from my '72 CdV. I would like to remove the long molding near the windshield, but I don't know how. I suppose I have to push the molding back from the underside of the hood, but I may be wrong.
Thanks for the help!

G'day Roger,

If it is the same as the Eldorado, which I think it will be, it just is held on by friction.

Pictured is my '72 Eldo with a strip from a '71 Eldo, but upside down.

I think I removed it with a piece of wood and a hammer.   Not sure if I tapped from underneath or on top, but I wasn't taking that much care of the actual hood, as it was smashed, and I only wanted to save the stainless trim.   And yes, the donor car was cream, and had been repainted without removing the trim.

Yesterday, I could remove the molding by using a wood block and hammer. Went out without too much problem.
