Help! 1976 Eldorado Fuel Injection Problems

Hello.  I have a fuel injector leaking gas on my Eldorado with the Bendix fuel injection system.  Does anyone know my options to get parts to fix or replace the injectors?  Is it worth the trouble or is a conversion to a carb the best option/

Also, I would be open to a carb conversion.  Would and Edelbrock system have enough clearance in an Eldo if the manifold is 3 inches taller than stock?

Does anyone make replacement manifolds or do I need to luck in a salvage yard?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do NOT run the car at all or you WILL have a FIRE!!! Your problem is O Rings...8 of em. Fires are COMMON on this system due to leaking O rings and father time. You will need to change all of them and kits are still avail thru NAPA. Odds are your injectors are still good, so save your money there. Your car is worth much more $$$ as an original EFI car.

Sean emailed me direct and we have started an email conversation about troubleshooting. I 1st told him that I need to know exactly where its leaking. I.e., injectors @ the fuel rail or manifold (o-rings), fuel rail fittings (compression seals), pressure regulator (ouch $$$), etc.

From there, Ill walk him through whats needed. I agree that its probably NOT an injector unless its cracked.

You need to replace the seals and O-Rings, and possibly the grommets as stated above.  Recommend you replace all fuel hoses to filter and pump.  Thirty-nine pounds of pressure flowing above a hot engine with a leak and your car is history.  I have seen the result on the internet.
