Could someone please tell me what the Body No.(FW11408), Trim No. (41 A), Top (blank), and Acc. (EH) represent on my 56 SDV? I understand the Style and Paint. Also, this is my first Cadillac restoration project, could someone suggest the best manuals and literature to start with? Thank you.

The non-seating surfaces are elasco fab white vinyl.

Bruce,
Let’s try to work backwards. What is different about your interior from the description Wm Link gave above?

Mine does not have "all leather". The non seating areas are vinyl.

sad but true...

The car could very well have been ORDERED "all leather" and it was INTENDED to be all leather...the customer probably even PAID for all leather...but as a matter of habit he got elascofab and more than likly never noticed it wasnt. I have heard of many cases of data plates NOT matching actual production, but its 50 years later before its an issue. I ordered a new truck with EVERYTHING...but when it arrived it had MANUAL side view mirrors...the STRANGE part was that power mirrors were STANDARD on my model!!!! Have you ever ordered a Big Mac without onions????

I made that post (sad but true) but entered subject line into name line in error

Thanks for clarifying that William.

Hate to think that someone would infiltrate us with a non-recognised alias.

Thanks for that info. The only thing is, I would like to go back leather, but it is currently in such good shape, Ill leave it as is for now. The nylon inserts (front/back seats), and top seat leather (front/back) are all that needs repair. The dash looks new. The rear package shelf needs replacing. Other than that, near perfect. If only the body were in such good shape. Shes down for an engine rebuild and paint job/body work currently, but shell be up and running soon. Thanks for all of you help.
