In reply to your questions about 48 engine

Firing order 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2  (#1 is left front)
Points set at .0125-.0175 or cam angle of 31 degrees
Timing is 5 degrees BTDC, indicated by IGA mark on crankshaft
Spark plug gap is .028 - .033  AC 104 plugs  10mm

Any of the newer fluids work but dont mix if you already have some in and the trans is old.  Take down pan and drain and clean screen then takle new fluid, but make sure you also drain torus at flywheel.

A slow process now as trying to make a decision on who, and how much to spend on the job.  Estimates from $14,000 to $20,000 and climbing.  Mostly done otherwise just need to finish up instrument horseshoe and make a few connections and install windshield and s/s trim
