Gday Glen,

As far as I am aware, Cadillacs last RHD manufactured automobile was in 1941/42.   Apart from a few in the 90s, and I mean extremely very few, and those were contracted out I think.

After the end of WWII, they couldnt build enough automobiles to satisfy the local consumption, so there was no reason to waste money, and resources in making an Export model.

And, as General Motors was heavily into the construction of the then new Holden, this would make another reason for not wanting to "waste" money.   As it was, The Other General motors RHD vehicles came in from Canada as Crated Knocked Down (CKD) and assembled here to enable a percentage of Local Content that the Federal Government required to lessen Import Duties.

All the vehicles that came into Australia were virtually Private Inports, and the conversions were performed by the Converters like Lober and Chappel.   One of the problems with personally importing a new car was that once the vehicle left USA shores, there wasnt any Warranty Backup.
