Folks,

I need a 1970, Rochester Quadrajet, for a 1970 Eldorado, Carburetor Number 7040232.

The one the car is not correct and trash. So a rebuidable core would be good, or a good carburetor that I will still rebuld.

Hey John,

I had one but it's been bastardized so much I don't even think it counts as a 70 carb any more.  Might want to get with Marty at MTS.  Not sure if he would be willing to look for the numbers you want but they used to list used carbs for sale.

JOHN!  I would give a call to HOBB'S CARBURETOR SHOP in Pelham, NH.  His tel # is 603-635-2415.  He has one of the finest carb shops I have ever seen and if he cannot help then you may have a problem.  Good Luck!  EAM

John - I checked with Arizona Vintage Parts ( http://www.azvintageparts.com/ ) and they have a used one they say 'looks good' for $100.   I have used them for other items and have been happy with what I got.  If you go that route, tell our Pres. he owes me.
