Kevin is no longer a member, and I don't recall seeing posts from him in a long time. But thanks for pulling it up. I'm dealing with the same issue right now with the front seat of my low-mileage '61, so it was interesting to see the perspectives. Seems like time can do a number on that old cloth without regard to mileage.

I have a 60 CDV on which the upholstery material is pulling away from the leather trim due to years of wear. Not a lot but in two spots. Does anyone think this is reparable by an upholstery shop? At least maybe stop the progression. The car is a driver and while I want it to look good it does not have to be absolutely "perfect". Thanks

That all depends on the material. If the stitch is just broken or if the fabric is compromised.
