I just bought a 2007 CTS with a manual transmission. Does anyone know anything about why I get a "click" that I can hear and feel through my foot as I depress the clutch pedal?

I know this is not a question about my classic Cadillac, but I'm betting that there are modern day daily driver experiences I can benefit from here.

Thanks in advance for the due diligence.

It could be the clutch pedal position sensor,The position sensor allows starter engagement when pedal is depressed.

I forgot to mention that the sound comes and goes. For some reason, it doesn't happen every time I depress the clutch pedal.
