I just so happen to have a 1976 Eldorado at my shop that is 100% original and untouched except for the battery. It only has a little over 1000 miles on it and I am working on it for the son of the original owner. The only air directing flaps are in front of the radiator, there is nothing else for directing the air but the shroud on the backside of the radiator. Hope it helps.

Bringing up this old tread again.

Good thing the search function works better than my memory, I didn't remember that many replies.

Have hardly driven my car over the last 5 years and had even less time to work on it but finally trying to make some time now.   I did end up with a new radiator and different fan that helped some except on the hottest days.  Even got the AC going which is just adding to the heat load.  Same as before, its not boiling or anything its just bugging me.

In 2011 it didn't look like anyone was making those flaps.   Anyone know if they are made now and who sells em?   Just knowing what they are called may make searching easier?

Are we still thinking 73-78 just had that one up front?   There were not any on the inner fenders?

I noticed on a possibly original car from the same era I was recently working on for a friend there was a foam like weatherstrip around the radiator to fill that tiny gap.   Think that makes a difference?   Did Cadillac have that too?   The car I saw it on was an Olds.
