Here is the situation: I should supply a windshield for a 1959 Sixty Special. In the 1950-65 General Motors Interchange Manual, the windshield for this car is W657 (when the identification for the flat top/coupes is W566).
I asked an offer by an US company and it was stated that this windshield is the W567. (An inversion of the 2 first numbers could be the explanation for the maybe wrong identification in the Interchange manual).
I got another offer from a Swiss company specialized in glass and the number of the offered windshield is W569! As the glass will be imported from the States when I place the order, I cannot check that windhield.
I saw also in the Interchange that the windshield for the Serie 75 is W570, quite near from W269...

Which is the correct number?

Try these guys out.  I just used them to replace my 59 Fleetwood sixty special front windshield and I know two others that did as well.  Very exact replacement, great people, super shipping, and fast........www.autocityclassic.com/

Thank you for the replay Jeff. The problem is indeed the shipping. I don't take the risk to import (at a shipping price much higher than the part itself) a windshield to get it broken.
The Swiss company offered me that piece of glass at a very decent price; I was always satisfied with their services but I have a doubt this time.
Don't you have the W number?

Jeff, yesterday I went to that Internet site you gave me. I found that number too; I'm certain it is the correct one. Thank you for posting it.
When I see the price of those windshields in the States, I just can cry...

As you can see W567 ,W569 and W586 should all fit in your car. Cadillac used a special tint on the top of the glass in 1959. To have that right you may need to find W569. Warren

Thank you Warren for that listing. I was offered the W569 and told the supplier it was not right. I now have to apologize and order the offered windhield.

Ah ha, so the colour tinting is the difference between Cadillac and the rest of the GM Family.

Now I just have to retain this in my memory bank.

Thanks for the expert information Warren.
