1946 chassis ID number location?

Could somebody please tell me the location of the chassis number on a 1946 series 62?

On top of the passenger side frame rail between the starter and the battery.  It will be a seven digit number that for a 1946 series 62 should begin with "84".

If you have the original engine, the same number will appear on the block just above the water pump.
