Hi 1946/47 owners,
I have pretty much finished the restoration . Does anyone know  where I might find one door lock and a new 6volt lighter element? I'm guessing that a 1946 ,1942 may have the same parts.

Are you looking for the lock on the exterior of the door or the door lock button on the inside?  I can probably help either way.
I have a lighter element that looks as if it has never been used, at least in my estimation.
I will take a couple of photos and you can judge for yourself.

Hi Denis: Nice looking car with a good combination color and leather for 47. Like Anthony said -Which lock do you need. Picture below is what Cadillac, in their Master Body Parts book, calls a lock assembly. Is this what you need and if so- which door?  Bill

Hi Anthony,
After getting your answer to my query I went to my car passenger side door to see if I could pull out the spring clip.I got the key assembly out and discovered that the little flap I thought was only seized and not welded or soldered. I was able to free it up and the lock assembly  looked complete. It took my ignition key and seems to work OK. If it doesn't I'll buy yours.
I would like to buy the 6volt lighter element and 2 chrome lock knobs . I was pretty surprised that this lock seems like it might be OK

Hi Denis,

It sounds like you have your door lock working which is good.

I have only one of the lock buttons and I'll post a picture of it.  It is clean, no rust, but for show quality I would replate it.

My camera's macro function is having issues so I can get a better picture tomorrow in the daylight.

How about 20 bucks for both items?

Let me know what you think.  These parts are spares to me and just sitting around in a drawer.

 Hi Anthony,
