I need the robe rope that hangs on the back of the front seat. Does anybody reproduce these?

The rubber in mine is brittle and cracking and I am getting everything I need for the upholsterer
and realized my robe rope is too brittle to use.

They are more complex than one would think. There is a sort of chain in the center which is encased in a fabric sleeve probably to keep from wearing out the next layer which is a sort of a rubber hose and finally encased in a exterior fabric sleeve. The chain ends have special fittings to attach them to the handles at the ends.

I was preparing mine for the upholsterer to recover and it started cracking and is useless now.

Hopefully someone is reproducing these as it would take a lot to build one from scratch.

If there are any questions I could probably post a photo.

Yes LeBaron has these in stock in very nice workmanship. Bought one recently for my '40 60 Special and it was beautiful.  It can also be easily shortened if needed
