I'm not sure which cars these are interchangeable with. All my windows work as they should except for the passenger front ventilator. I also need a heater fan motor. Someone in the past has soldered it to fix it. It works, a bit, if you turn it on and reach down and give it a start with your hand.

Joe, I may have a couple of motors for the underseat heaters. I'll check later on in the day.

That's great. Not sure though, the heater fan is behind the heater core under the dash.

I should have added that the previous owner told me "it was a messed up repair in the past. If you turn the heater on, reach down, and give the fan a little push it will go. Someone soldered the connections and it is a mess." He is right, if I turn it on and give the fan a push it keeps going, however at a very slow speed. I'd like to replace the motor with one that runs as it should.

I am not sure about what is correct for 38, but I found a source within the past year for 6v motors, 3" diameter and bought a couple to used on my 41. The shafts and mounting bolts can be cut to match the application. If this sounds like what you need, please PM me and I will look up the source info.

Thanks Paul. The motors would be perfect but they are just a bit too big I think. Still looking.

What I really still need is the ventilator mechanism. I wonder which other years and makes are interchangeable...

Hi, I just looked the vent part up in the Master Parts Book, and found that the 38-60S is indeed, a one year only part. What I would do is get out your CLC Directory, and get on the phone to Doug Houston, Ortonville, MI and see if he might have a spare, or know where you might find one. He loves his 38 60S and has had it for years. In that time, he may have come up with a spare. Good luck.

Thanks for that! I have a few other very similar regulators that good friend gave me. Mine has a partially stripped gear. I am going to try and repair it with parts from one of these others. Failing that I will get right on the phone.

If it goes with a push possibly it needs a few drops of oil?? That worked on one of mine!! Worth a try!!
